A Manitowoc woman is facing charges after she allegedly assaulted her boyfriend and destroyed some of his property.
Officers were called to a home in the 1300 block of South 18th Street at 12:30 PM Tuesday on a report of a domestic disturbance. When they arrived, they spoke with the victim, who claimed he and his 19 year old girlfriend had gotten into an argument, which resulted in her hitting him, and smashing his X-Box.
The victim told officers that he was going to meet his mother for lunch, which upset the woman. When he was walking to his car he heard items being smashed inside, so he went in to see what was happening. The woman had been destroying some of his property, including the gaming device. He attempted to calm down the irate woman, but instead she began striking him, and pulling his hair.
A witness to the situation confirmed the victims story, and the woman was arrested. She is facing charges of Battery and Criminal Damage to Property, each with Domestic Violence Orders, as well as Misdemeanor Bail Jumping.
