
The Ring Neighbors Program the Manitowoc Police Department began back in March has yielded its first major return after a theft was reported using the program.
Officers were dispatched to the 1400 block of North 23rd Street at around 5:00 Tuesday morning after receiving a notification of an unknown subject prowling in someone’s backyard.
When they arrived, a citizen waived them down and explained that the saw the suspect allegedly attempting to enter one of their vehicles.
When confronted the man fled, but he was spotted at around 6:30 AM. Units surrounded the area, and he was arrested at the Kwik Trip on Menasha Avenue.
He is now facing 8 counts of Misdemeanor Bail Jumping, one felony count of Bail Jumping, Obstructing an Officer, and Three counts of Theft from a Vehicle.
