Wisconsin Badgers left tackle Cole Van Lanen has been named to the Outland Trophy watch list.
85 tackles, guards and centers are in the competition for the best offensive lineman in the country, 11 from the Big Ten Conference. The winner is chosen at the end of the season.
Badgers Joe Thomas in 2006 and Gabe Carimi in 2010 are previous winners.
Last year’s Outland Trophy winner, Penei Sewell of Oregon, is the favorite to win the award again.
Van Lanen is one of six Badgers who are on a watch list for a post-season award in 2020.
