If there are crowds at historic Lambeau Field for Green Bay Packers games, they won’t be very big.
Packers president Mark Murphy says the team is anticipating a seating capacity of about 10-to-12 thousand fans for regular-season games. That would allow for the safety of social distancing.
Murphy says the Packers’ priority is to make sure players and staff are safe while being able to play the games.
The team has already closed the doors to fans at training camp practices and the annual Family Night Scrimmage at Lambeau Field.
It’s still possible the venue will be empty when and if the N-F-L games are played.
In other Packers news, third-round pick Josiah Deguara has reached agreement on his rookie deal with the team.
Deguara is the ninth and final member of the 2020 N-F-L Draft class to sign up.
The third-round draft pick played tight end for the Cincinnati Bearcats. His four-year deal is estimated to be worth a little over $4.5 million, with a signing bonus of about $870,000.
