Manitowoc based Bank First has assisted over 1,800 businesses through the Small Business Administration’s “Paycheck Protection Program.”
A news release shows the bank processed over $279.5 million in loans, representing 11% of its’ total assets and greatly outperforming its’ peers around the state. Bank First has enabled those businesses to preserve more than 30,800 Wisconsin jobs under the P-P-P.
Mike Molepske, Chief Executive Officer at Bank First, said in a statement, “From the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, our commitment to provide both existing & new customers with the financial support they need has been at the forefront of our efforts.”
Dennis Tienor, Senior Vice-President and Business Banking Manager, stated “We’ve secured over $46-million for 356 businesses in the Manitowoc area through the program.”
Since the onset of the pandemic, Bank First has also purchased over $100,000 in gift cards to support local restaurants, providing relief to customers through fee waivers & loan payment deferrals, and as an SBA Preferred Lender, the bank’s participation in the Paycheck Protection Program.
