After significant thought and discussion, the Manitowoc Unit of County Fish & Game Protective Association is canceling their meetings in August & September, because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Dean Halverson, Secretary of the Manitowoc Fish & Game Unit, explained in a news release, “Our membership tends to be older and a group with higher risks should they contract the virus.” He added, “We just felt the safety of our members was more important than having meetings.”
The County Fish & Game organization has not offered public meetings since March due to safety concerns for its’ membership & the general public.
The club is tentatively targeting October 1st as its’ next meeting and it would be held at Lincoln Park, Cabin-1, with related restrictions.
