When he realized who he had punched, witnesses say 52-year-old Lance Hoff apologized profusely.
The Kenosha man faces a felony charge of battery to a law enforcement officer. Hoff was at a rally in support of law enforcement June 27th when he became embroiled in a confrontation with protesters. A police sergeant in plainclothes tried to break up the fight when Hoff is accused of punching him in the head.
Hoff reportedly apologized, saying he would “never hit a cop.”
He also faces a misdemeanor count of disorderly conduct.
