A Middleton coffee shop generated the most complaints by people saying Dane County’s mandatory mask order wasn’t being followed.
The order went into effect Monday.
County health officials say they had received about 140 complaints by Tuesday – 102 involving Helbach’s Coffee in Middleton.
A photo was circulating online showing a sign in that business reading “Mask Free Zone.”
The customer who posted the message said his daughter was shamed for wearing a mask inside, but the owner of the business says there’s no sign there.
