The Green Bay Packers have signed fifth-round N-F-L Draft pick Kamal Martin, a linebacker from Minnesota.
That Packers now have agreements with seven of their nine draft picks. Tight end Josiah Deguara and center Jake Hanson are the only two still unsigned.
Martin was named All-Big Ten last season after a career with the Golden Gophers that included 13 tackles for loss, nine pass breakups and four forced fumbles.
One source reports his four-year deal with for a little over $2.5 million.
Meanwhile, Former Badgers wide receiver Quintez Cephus has signed a rookie contract with the Detroit Lions.
Cephus was a fifth-round pick in the 2020 N-F-L Draft last April. He was the Badgers’ top receiver last season with 59 passes caught for 901 yards and seven touchdowns.
He made the decision to forgo his senior season in Madison and go pro.
His agreement with the Lions is expected to pay him $3.6 million over four years, with a signing bonus of $300,000.
