Surrounded by her friends and family, Emilee Rysticken of Two Rivers was honored by Wisconsin Main Street for her work as the owner of Scream N’ Conuts.
The state wide organization awarded Rysticken and her ice cream business as the Best New Business in the state.
Emilee came up with the idea for her store after a visit to New York, where she saw a vendor selling what was called a conut, which is a donut shaped into an ice cream cone. She brought that tasty treat to Two Rivers, and sells it from her bright pink store just off of Washington Street, all before graduating high school.
She has a working relationship with another local ice cream giant, Cedar Crest Ice Cream, who supplies her with 16 different flavors to fill the conuts, creating a cool tasty treat, which has been perfect for these hot days over the past week.
