For the second day in a row, relatively large numbers of COVID-19 cases have been confirmed in Manitowoc and Sheboygan Counties.
While they are not at the level places like Brown County and Milwaukee have seen, the numbers are higher than we have seen, at least on this consistent of a basis.
In Manitowoc County, 8 new cases were reported totaling 139, 99 of which are active, and 52 more negative tests came back, leaving a total of 6,982. Over the last two days, 10% of all tests that have come back have been positive, bringing our pandemic long positive rate up to nearly 2%.
In Sheboygan County, 10 more people were confirmed to have caught the virus, giving them a total of 278 cases. 61 cases remain active, and 12,137 negative tests have been reported. Sheboygan County’s positive return rate is currently at roughly 2.2%.
