Body of Appleton Woman Pulled From Shawano County Pond

Authorities in Shawano County are investigating the apparent drowning of an Appleton woman.  Deputies were called to the Town of Hartland Wednesday for a child running naked in the area.  Sheriff’s officers searched the area and found the body of a 33-year-old woman in a small pond near a vehicle.  The nine-year-old boy was the woman’s son.  He was turned over to human services.  Investigators are waiting for autopsy results on the victim.  Her name hasn’t been released.
