Charges Of Assaulting An Officer Filed Against Green Bay Man

Charges of assaulting a police officer have been filed against a Green Bay man.  The incident happened last month when officers responded to a report of a car accident.  Leo Sanchez-Basulto was arrested on suspicion of operating while intoxicated.  He was released to the custody of a sober adult, but he took off running.  When police chased him down there was a fight and Sanchez-Basulto is accused of trying to strangle and suffocate the police officer.  He and the officer both suffered injuries in the altercation.
