The new Meijer’s store that is about to open in Manitowoc has donated $34,000 to three organizations in the community.
The donations include $4,000 to Peter’s Pantry in addition to the $5,000 they had donated in April, $10,000 to the Boys and Girls club of Manitowoc, and $15,000 to the Manitowoc Public School District.
The donation to the school district will be for the purpose of buying Personal Protection Equipment to ensure healthy, safe classrooms.
The Boys and Girls Club donation is to help develop the future club at the former downtown Mirro site.
The donation to the Pantry will be to help fulfill its mission to provide meals for families in the area.
