While many municipalities have canceled their Independence Day celebrations, the City of Manitowoc is pressing on. Several events have been planned for the Fourth of July, with additional safety precautions being taken.
The first event is taking place this evening in Washington Park, as a public showing of the film Independence Day. There will be a special 150th Anniversary video shown at 8:00 PM, with the feature presentation at 8:30 PM.
The annual parade will begin tomorrow at 10:00 AM at the corner of South 8th Street and Washington, and will travel down Maritime Drive to the roundabout.
The fireworks presentation will begin at 9:30 PM, with many viewing areas available.
The Wisconsin Maritime Museum will also have their rooftop Sub Pub open to view the show, with tickets costing $20.
