A body found in the Fox River is identified as an Appleton woman missing since October fifth. Twenty-year-old Caitlyn Xiong (zhong) was found dead last Saturday near Heesakker Park in Little Chute. An autopsy was performed Monday, but officials say she was not positively identified until Thursday. Police say they’re still trying to figure out why she was in the river, and how she died. Xiong’s family issued a statement thanking everyone involved in the search — and they expressed gratitute for what they called “the outpouring of concern and kindness from those we know and strangers alike.”
