Teams will return to the Rock River this (Monday) morning to continue recovery efforts for a presumed drowning victim.
Family members say nine-year-old Madison Billups was playing in the water with her brother Thursday when the river’s current swept them away.
A bystander was able to jump in and save the brother, but the girl wasn’t seen again.
The accident happened near Angler’s Park in Janesville.
Authorities changed the search from a rescue to a recovery Friday.
