Maybe 2020 won’t be the final season for Brewers slugger Ryan Braun after all.
The addition of the designated hitter to National League lineups could extend his career.
Previously, the 36-year-old Braun had admitted the final guaranteed year of his contract would also wrap up his major league playing time after 14 seasons.
Braun hit .285 last season with 22 home runs, so the bat is still potent.
It isn’t guaranteed that the D-H will return for National League teams next season – but it’s more likely than it was four months ago.
