Woman Charged In Fatal Head On Drunk Driving Crash

A southwest Wisconsin woman is due in court today (Thursday) after being charged with causing a head on, drunk driving crash that killed the other driver. Fifty-three-year-old Kelly Johnsrud of Muscoda (mus’co day) is charged in Iowa County with homicide by intoxicated driving for a crash last Friday night that killed 38-year-old Kevin Kaltenberg of Hillsboro. The State Patrol says Johnsrud was driving on Highway 14 near Arena when her car veered into the opposite lane and collided head on with Kaltenberg’s pickup. Johnsrud is jailed on a ten-thousand-dollar cash bond.
