UPDATE: The Pulaski Police has said that Randy has been located safe.
On Friday, the Pulaski Police Department responded to a report of a man walking into a BP Gas Station near State Highway 32 and County Rd B in the Village of Pulaski with a handgun in his waistband. The man, identified as Randy M. Vandenplas did not display the firearm in a threatening manner, but appeared distraught to employees working inside stating to them that “life would be better without him.”
The Green Bay Police Department took a similar call with Mr. Vandenplas at his place of employment. Both times he was seen leaving the area in a dark blue Saturn SL1 with WI/619-CSX, which is registered to his wife Dixie Vandenplas.
According to Mr. Vandenplas’ wife, he suffers from PTSD while working as a contractor for the military and being overseas in Iraq.
Officers confirmed that he is in possession of a 9mm handgun after speaking with his wife and from information by neighbors that he discharged the firearm outside of his apartment complex. His location is currently unknown at this time.
