Racine County Sheriff Offers Local Leaders Ride-Alongs For Education

Racine County Sheriff Christopher Schmaling is offering local elected leaders a first-hand look at the realities of his job.  Those leaders can take a ride-along with a deputy.  Schmaling says his idea is to show policymakers just what his deputies see and have to deal with on a daily basis.  Some elected leaders say they’re ready to go.  Others – like Supervisor Fabi Maldonado – say they want the sheriff to offer some solutions and not just a ride-along.
