Federal workplace safety officials are investigating the death of a 42-year-old man at a Milwaukee metal factory. A medical examiner says Kelvin Price was using a magnetic crane to lift a steel plate when one of the magnets failed to work — and the metal struck Price, who died Tuesday night. The incident occurred Monday afternoon at Russel Metals on Milwaukee’s far south side. The United Steelworkers Union is also investigating the mishap. Price was a unionized employee at the plant for almost two decades.
