The second of three people who were deemed responsible for the death of two year old Gilbert Grant last year will be sentenced today.
26 year old Bianca Bush will be in Manitowoc County Court today after she pleaded no contest to charges of Child Abuse, Failure to Prevent Great Bodily Harm, Chronic Neglect of a Child, and six other charges.
Bush, along with 28 year old David Heiden and 27 year old Rena Santiago were arrested after Grant died in April of last year. According to police reports, Grant died after he was struck and shaken by Heiden, who was babysitting him at the time.
The other two women had also reportedly abused him on several occasions, and a video was found which shows the women swinging him by his arms.
Heiden was sentenced to life in prison while Santiago, the mother of Grant, is scheduled to be in court for her sentencing next month.
