Wisconsin Senate Majority Leader Scott Fitzgerald is comparing the governor to former President Richard Nixon after it was revealed a May teleconference was secretly recorded.
Fitzgerald calls it one of the most “brazen examples of unethical, unprofessional conduct” he has ever seen.
Republicans have called the recording unethical and a breach of trust, even if it is legal.
A spokesperson for the governor gave a copy of the recording to the Associated Press Wednesday in response to an open records request.
