The Milwaukee Brewers say they have consulted with some N-F-L teams about taking part in a virtual draft.
The Brewers have the 20th pick in today’s (Wednesday’s) 2020 Major League Baseball Free Agent Draft. The first round gets underway at 6:00 p-m Central Time and it includes the first 37 picks. The second day includes rounds two-through-five starting Thursday at 4:00 p-m.
Instead of the more than 1,200 players chosen in 40 rounds last year, 160 players will be drafted this time. There will be a two-day “quiet period” after the draft, then teams can sign an unlimited number of undrafted free agents – but, their bonuses will be limited to $20,000.
