The Milwaukee Bucks are going to Disney World. The N-B-A Players Association is expected to finalize a 22-team restart to the season at the E-S-P-N Wide World of Sports Complex near Orlando.
Eight more regular season games will begin July 31st to determine the playoff seeds. The Bucks will return to Milwaukee later this month to undergo COVID-19 testing and a brief training camp. The team will head to Florida on July 7th.
The Bucks had the best record in the league when play was suspended in March and they can’t earn home court advantage.
Robin and Brook Lopez own a home on the Disney property.
Meanwhile, the Wisconsin Herd will not be returning to the court at Menominee Nation Arena in Oshkosh, as the N-B-A G League cancelled the remainder of the 2019-2020 season Thursday.
President Shareef Abdur-Rahim said “I extend my sincere gratitude to N-B-A G League players and coaches for giving their all to their teams and fans this season. And to our fans, I thank you and look forward to resuming play for the 2020-21 season.”
The G League will announce its year-end awards in the coming weeks, including the Most Valuable Player, Coach of the Year and Rookie of the Year.
The Wisconsin Herd led the Eastern Conference with a 33-and-10 record when play was suspended March 12th
