A six-year-old boy is the victim of an apparent drowning on Lake Superior’s South Shore Wednesday afternoon.
The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office says a mother and two children were swimming where the Middle River meets the lake when the boy went missing.
The Coast Guard and authorities searched for several hours before finding the boy’s body in the water around 7 p-m.
No names have been released.
