Body of Missing Boater From Oshkosh Found in Lake Butte des Morts

The Winnebago County Sheriff’s Office says the body of a boater who went missing on Lake Butte des Morts during last night’s storms has been recovered.  Deputies reported the 61-year-old Oshkosh man was found dead early this afternoon along the shoreline (Wednesday).  Investigators say two friends were fishing when a severe thunderstorm capsized their 18-foot boat.  The two men and a dog were thrown into the water.  A 55-year-old man from Clayton and the dog survived three hours before making it to shore.  The victim’s name hasn’t been released.
