The Manitowoc Senior Center will begin a phased reopening on June 22nd. Director of Public Infrastructure Dan Koski says the facility will be open Monday-Tuesday and Thursday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. June 22nd through July 2nd then beginning July 6th The Senior Center will be open 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday.
The main entrance will be the only open entrance to the center. Koski says Puzzle, book, and DVD checkout for members will resume. Footcare and Homestead Tax appointments will be scheduled on a first-come-first-served basis.
There will be no organized gatherings, classes, or social groups. From July 20th through 31st specific groups, classes and activities will be scheduled to resume but sizes to these will be restricted and all safety precautions will be updated during the course of the pandemic.
The city strongly encourages members and other facility visitors to wear a face covering and practice frequent hand washing. Any questions can be directed to the Department of Public Infrastructure at 686-3060 during regular business hours.
