Leede Research in Manitowoc has released the results of a COVID-19 related survey.
CEO Dean Halverson says 722 county residents completed the online survey & 66% of the respondents would like to be tested for exposure to the virus if given the option. 60% say their work has in some way been impacted by the pandemic, with 51% working normal hours.
43% of the respondents have used health services during COVID-19-and 76% of them feel they were impacted somewhat by the shutdown. 26% have used or a family member has used telehealth or Virtual-health services, which is almost triple the 2019 average.
While some are ready to return to normal activities soon, others express significant concerns & delays. Only 34% are comfortable now going shopping, 43% of those responding would feel comfortable sending their children to school in the next 2-to-6 months, and only 23% would feel at ease attending concerts over the next 7-to-12months. And, 28% said they “Possibly never” will shake hands with a stranger again.
81% indicated they believe it’s likely or very likely there will be a resurgence of coronavirus.
Halverson was surprised at how much the local work mirrored their national findings from a consumer study of over 1,200 respondents, last month.
