The Major League Baseball Players Association has reportedly embraced the owners’ proposal to only play a regional schedule in 2020, limiting travel as much as possible.
The two sides haven’t agreed on very much until this week – even though they both say they’d like to start the season next month.
The players still want to have a 114-game season since they’re being paid-per-game. The owners prefer something in the 50-to-60 game range because there will be no fans in the stands.
