Capitol Civic Center Executive Director Matt Schliesman has announced that all live performances at the “Jewel of the Lakeshore” in Downtown Manitowoc are suspended through Labor Day.
We spoke with Schliesman, who said “The rules are evolving, and the statistics are evolving, but the requirements that imitated that are still there.”
Despite many places opening, Schliesman said they are a little different from many other businesses. He explained that they are following all guidelines set out by the CDC and other health professionals for “anyone operating this kind of business, which is a large, enclosed place of assembly, where people sit close together for an extended period of time.”
“Sail On-The Beach Boys Tribute” scheduled for Thursday, June 25th has been moved to July 29th, 2021. Ticket Holders for this and all canceled performances will be contacted by phone or e-mail in the coming weeks.
Messages and questions may be left for the Box Office staff at 683-2184.
In the meantime-the Capitol does look to commit to small-non-performance events and rentals as soon as possible. Further updates will be provided at cccshows.org as available.
The Capitol Civic Centre recently released this list of refund options for canceled performances.
1. Tickets and fees paid can be donated to the Capitol Civic Centre or another local Non-Profit arts organization. Any donation during these difficult times is greatly appreciated.
2. Tickets and fees can be applied to your Capitol Civic Centre account to be used toward the purchase of tickets to any future performance here at the Capitol. These credits are essentially a gift certificate issued to your account with no expiration date. This is a promise to return when things get back to normal.
3. Tickets and fees (less any online fees paid) can be fully refunded to your Credit Card (if the original transaction happened within the last 120 days). If the purchase was made more than 120 days previous to your inquiry and you request a refund a check will be issued and mailed to you from the Capitol Civic Centre.
