Many people are still waiting on their unemployment checks due to the COVID-19 pandemic leaving thousands of Wisconsinites without jobs.
In a news release, Assemblyman Paul Tittl said “The backlog of unpaid claims has grown to more than 700,000 and the agency admits it may not be able to catch up until this fall. This is simply unacceptable.”
State Senator Devin LeMahuieu told SeehaferNews.com that “Between March and April jumped from 3.1% to 14.1%. We have never seen a surge like that in the STate of WIsocnsin that hit so very fast. In Manitowoc County alone in March the unemployment rate was 3..6% and jumped to 16.2% at the end of April.”
Tittl and his staff are continuing to assist his constituents and helping them get through to the Department of Workforce Development.
Tittl said that is anyone is still having any issues to call his office at 608-266-0315, or send him an email at Rep.Tittl@legis.wisconsin.gov, and they will work with you to ensure you get the money you are entitled to.
