The Executive Director of Manitowoc’s Rahr-West Art Museum has announced the plan to reopen to visitors next Tuesday. Greg Vadney says ‘ArtPath’ allows them to safely reopen the museum, galleries and historic Vilas-Rahr Mansion, June 2nd. Vadney explains the Rahr-West strives to be a welcoming place for all, and..in this time of uncertainty, we are taking steps to ensure that visitors have no doubt they are in a safe place.
He added visitors and staff are asked to wear face coverings, and disposable masks are available upon entry. Vadney stated their visitor services desk is fitted with glass partitions to eliminate unnecessary person-to-person contact.
For those unable to visit in person, the museum created a “Virtual Annex” in the ArtSteps platform, with access using a smartphone, tablet, computer, or even virtual reality goggles.
