Manitowoc Lutheran High School recently spotlighted their Senior Spring sports athletes who saw their athletic careers come to an end due to historic circumstances.
Lancers softball coach Matt Menges said his lone senior, Lexi Funk, was named a team captain and would’ve been in the starting lineup for her 3rd straight year.
He said in part “we would have had our first spring without an April snowstorm in several years, but God had different plans for our season.”
Meanwhile, Lutheran baseball coach Paul Durkee said, “one way or another this would be a season to remember for the Lancers. With lots of promise coming into the season with a great group of returning starters, the goals this year were high, but the Lord had other plans.”
The Lancers graduate 3 strong seniors who will be missed.
