Steve Wojciechowski has been a successful head basketball coach for the Marquette program winning 115-of-196 games, however, he’s been less successful retaining players.
The website “Anonymous Eagle” points out that 16 players have left Marquette during the coach’s six seasons in Milwaukee. Some of those left after the change in coaches and that is normal.
Of the eight players in Wojciechowski’s first two official recruiting classes, only three finished their eligibility – Matt Heldt, Markus Howard and Sacar Anim. That is paired with two stunning collapses down the stretch in the last two seasons.
However, there have been no formal complaints, the Golden Eagles are winners – and nobody at the university is voicing public disapproval.
