The last player taken by the Green Bay Packers in April’s draft is the first to sign a contract with the team.
The agreement with outside linebacker Jonathan Garvin of the University of Miami was announced by the team Tuesday. Garvin was the 242nd player chosen in the 2020 N-F-L Draft. The Packers still have eight more drafted players to get signed up.
Garvin is young – he doesn’t turn 21 until late July, but in his final two seasons he recorded 10-and-a-half sacks and 26 tackles for loss.
Some employees of the Green Bay Packers are returning to the offices of Lambeau Field and Titletown.
A total of 75 workers were allowed back yesterday under N-F-L protocols with guidance from state and local health officials. No coaches have returned and the remaining employees will continue working remotely.
The team has not set a date for the re-opening of public-facing units including the Packers Pro Shop, Packers Hall of Fame, 1919 Kitchen and Tap, Titletown playground and 46 Below.
