Manitowoc resident and Roncalli High School graduate, Alexandria Cliff, has received Chicago State University’s “President’s Cup Award”.
This award is given to an outstanding member of the senior class. Cliff was a dual-sport athlete in college for the Cougars competing in Volleyball & Women’s Basketball.
The Finance major starred in both sports at Chicago State and was a member of two American Volleyball Coaches Association Team Academic Awards during her Volleyball Career and a 4-year member of the All-Western Athletic Conference Academic Team for Volleyball and Basketball.
According to a press release from the school, the former Jets athlete said “Being at Chicago State was a great opportunity because it allowed me to play the two sports. It granted me the opportunity to continue to do what I love at the highest level and it also allowed me to grow up a little bit, being (a little bit) further away from home and in a big city, it provided a lot of different opportunities and I would not change my decision.”
Alex Cliff has applied to grad school and is currently leaning towards a data analytics emphasis for her Master’s degree.
