Former Wisconsin Badgers basketball star Jon Leuer says he loves the game and still wants to play, but he knows he needs to step aside for his health.
Leuer was a second-round draft choice in 2011 and played almost 400 games for the Milwaukee Bucks and four other teams. He appeared in the N-B-A playoffs four times – three with Memphis.
He signed a big contract with Detroit three years ago, but was injury-plagued and missed more than 110 games over two seasons. He was with the Bucks this season but never suited up.
Leuer is one of just eight players in Wisconsin history with 13 hundred points and 500 rebounds.
