Senator Baldwin Doubles Down On Expanding Food Stamp Program

U-S Senator Tammy Baldwin is taking another shot at expanding the federal food stamp program.  The Wisconsin Democrat has been pushing the idea of including restaurant delivery and pick-up eligibility.  Baldwin introduced a measure Wednesday which would have restaurants accept SNAP benefits.  She says people shouldn’t be limited in their food choices because they are on public benefits.  The latest bill includes a half-billion dollars to help restaurants make the transition.
