Former state Senator Tom Tiffany is now a member of Wisconsin’s congressional delegation. The Republican from Minocqua was sworn in today by U-S House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (Tuesday). Tiffany won a special election last week to finish the term of retired 7th District Congressman Sean Duffy. Tiffany thanked his family and the voters of the district for their endorsement of him. He said his mother Virgil was likely in her kitchen “canning sauerkraut and pickles just like she’s always done as a farm girl,” which drew applause from Pelosi and those in attendance. Congressman Tiffany will likely face Wausau School Board President Tricia Zunker again in the November election.
