Green Bay police are reporting this morning that a number of city streets are experiencing high water issues and that’s resulted in road closures in some areas.”
Police Lieutenant Brad Strouf says Ashland Avenue at West Walnut Street and School Place will be closed until the water recedes.
Shawano Avenue between Oak and Hazel Streets was described as currently impassable and is expected to be off-limits for traffic for some time.
Also, the 500 block of South Broadway and the 200 block of South Ashland are barricaded due to high water issues.
North Broadway at Prairie Street is experiencing flooding and signs have been erected to warn drivers of the situation.
Lt. Strouf said motorists in Green Bay are encouraged to find alternate roadways if they must travel this morning.
