To quote Forrest Gump, “One day, It started raining, and didn’t quit.” That is what the Lakeshore area is experiencing right now.
After accumulating roughly 2.5” yesterday, we are expected to receive just shy of an inch today into tomorrow morning.
Areas by Lake Michigan are under a Lakeshore Flood Advisory, as winds will continue to blow northeast at a rate of 15 to 25 mph with gusts to 35 mph.
That wind will cause water levels to rise on the Lake Michigan shoreline of Door, Kewaunee and Manitowoc counties.
High wave action on the Lake Michigan shoreline may cause localized shoreline erosion in those areas as well.
The advisory is expected to be in place until around 7:00 tomorrow morning.
