A 15-year-old homicide suspect has been arrested by Fitchburg police.
The name of the teenager taken into custody Thursday morning hasn’t been released due to his age.
He faces tentative charges of first-degree intentional homicide in the shooting death of 17-year-old Shay Watson last August.
While a search warrant was being executed in Verona, officers arrested the suspect and a 40-year-old man who was present. Fitchburg police say they don’t think the adult was involved in the homicide.
A spokesperson for the Verona Area School District has confirmed the teen was a student there for at least a portion of the current school year.
