Milwaukee Bucks star Giannis Antetokounmpo is suing a sports merchandise company for using his name without his permission.
The reigning N-B-A Most Valuable Player filed the two-million-dollar legal action against Fan Closet L-L-C, who are accused of selling phone cases, sweatshirts and baby onesies labeled with the identifier “Greek Freak.”
Antetokounmpo trademarked “Greek Freak” in the U-S and Europe, meaning third parties have to get his authorization to use the phrase.
He filed a similar suit last summer against an artist in Pennsylvania who selling “Greek Freak” merchandise.
