
“It’s an ever-moving date…but, we are going to be ready for whenever we’re able to open our doors.” That statement from YMCA Executive Director Julie Grossman when asked about plans once the Governor’s Safer-at-Home order comes to an end.
She told SeehaferNews.com, “We will do everything we can to be at full capacity as soon as possible,” but she expects a slow roll opening. Grossman says “we’re going to weather this storm like everybody else and be here on the other side.”
The Y leader said what they heard early on in the COVID-19 crisis is that they needed to provide childcare for the essential workers. Enter “Pop Up” Daycare. She said “we quickly rallied” to make it happen for the essential employees.
Grossman added it’s been a very popular program and has provided a really important service at this stressful time.
