The Northwoods League has postponed its opening day for the 2020 summer baseball season indefinitely.
It was supposed to kick off May 26th, but that’s not happening.
League officials said Thursday they will continue to closely monitor developments related to COVID-19 and the different ways each area is responding.
They say fan, player and personnel safety is the primary focus.
Pointing to a situation that changes almost daily, the approach is to “remain creative, nimble and adaptive” so “when baseball can safely be played, it will be played.”
