Authorities are investigating the deaths of two adults at a residence in the Kewaunee County Township of Ahnapee. Sheriff Matt Joski says their department received a call on Friday requesting a welfare check. The caller stated that they became concerned after they had not heard from an acquaintance for a few days.
After receiving no response when making initial contact, deputies looked through a window and observed the bodies of a 71-year-old male and 56-year-old female located on the floor. No one else was at the residence at the time and there’s no safety threat to the community.
The State Department of Criminal Investigation is assisting in the investigation.
