Schroeder’s Department Store in downtown Two Rivers reopened Thursday on a limited basis after being closed because of COVID-19 since March 24th.
A.J. Schroeder-Ashenbrenner, who shares the role of General Manager with her sister Theresa, tells SeehaferNews.com that the Red Bank Coffee House is open for phone-in and text-in orders for pickup only, along with their U-P-S shipping outlet, while maintaining the 6-foot social distancing guidelines.
She indicated Schroeder’s is open Thursday through Saturday from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. for the time being and they hope to add a day of operation soon, as employees are yearning to return to work.
Schroeder-Ashenbrenner says two other businesses in the building, Intertwined Yarn store & the Read Apple Toy Shop, are not open but are doing curbside delivery.
She told us that under Governor Evers’ order, the department store is classified as an essential business due to the UPS shipping counter, but pointed out in the week leading up to the stay at home quarantine their sales were down 75%.
