NASCAR has announced it will resume the Cup Series competition May 17th at Darlington Raceway in South Carolina.
A spokesperson says the organization understands the responsibility that comes with the return to competition – so, no fans will be in the grandstands.
NASCAR plans to run seven races in 11 days involving its three national series. Charlotte Motor Speedway will host the competition the following week.
North Carolina Governor Roy Cooper gave his okay assuming health conditions in the state don’t deteriorate.
